Artist Invitation

Dear Prospective Coronado Art Walk Artists,

Our first two-day show in 2010 was a spectacular success! I know that the majority of our participating artists were delighted with the public response and with all the details of the show. We are making every effort to be responsive to the many constructive comments solicited after the show. With that in mind, we are making some major changes in the fee structure of this year’s Coronado Art Walk, which will be held September 17th and 18th at the Coronado Ferry Landing.

If you have been with us before, or have requested that your name be put on the mailing list, you will be receiving by both mail and email the following items: this cover letter, Guidelines for the show, an application form, and a map of the venue. They will all be posted on the website as well, at www.coronadohistory.org
should you want to suggest any artist friends apply.

There will be three levels of entry fees this year: $275, $300 and $350. This is in direct response to suggestions made by last year’s participating artists. The booths in the area with the Art Activities will be $275. All of the “endcap” or prime position booths will be $350, and all others will be $300. Please make sure to get your applications in ASAP, because the jurying will occur on an ongoing basis with a “first come, first served” approach in terms of placement.

Several artists suggested that instead of giving free T-shirts to them, that money would be better spent on advertising. We agree! So, if you wish to buy a T-shirt, you may do so for $10. Please do tell me what size you would like for planning purposes.

We look forward to another beautiful weekend on the bay with lots of incredibly talented artists busy selling their creations to the thousands who will be lured to the Coronado Art Walk by the planned advertising campaign.
